FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM ORDER?
Our minimum order is dependent on the print process we use for your order. For DTG Printing and Vinyl Transfer the minimum is x5 units, for Embroidery and Supercolour it is x20 units and for Screen Printing x25.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIGITAL PRINTING AND SCREEN PRINTING?
Digital printing works in a similar way to an inkjet printer, the design is uploaded to a computer and then printed directly onto your garment using water based CMYK inks. Screen printing involves making custom stencils (screen) where each colour requires a screen and applying multiple layers of oil based ink to achieve the artwork detail. Digital printing is suited to shorter run print jobs and has a lower minimum order quantity, it is also perfect for reproducing photographic images. If you are unsure just check out our comparison chart or fill in our quick quote form(2) and one of our team will advise as to the best process for your job.
HOW DO I GET A QUOTE?
Simply fill in one of our quote forms here(3), or drop us a line via email to or phone and we can provide a quick and competitve quote, generally within the hour.
CAN I MIX SIZES AND GARMENT STYLES WITHIN MY ORDER?
In short yes, we are happy to print whatever garments and sizes you require. Each job is calculated based on printing the same artwork over the complete order using the same ink colours and artwork size. For example – within an order of x50 units with a design printed in black we can print any size, colour or style of garment that will take black ink, the print size would be dictated by the smallest garment. Alternatively if you wanted an order of x50 units with some black print and some white print this would be charged as 2 seperate job (with some discounts for set-up etc). If in doubt just fill in one of our contact forms and we can outline the different options.
CAN I SUPPLY MY OWN GARMENTS?
Yes no problem for you to supply your own garments providing they are printable. Just let us know when you first enquire and where possible please tell us the brand and fabric content of your garments. For some processes like Digital Printing, Vinyl Transfer and Supercolour we may not be able to use customer supplied garments. Also please bear in mind that we have great relationships with all our suppliers so in alot of cases it will not be cheaper to supply your own garments.
WHAT SORT OF ARTWORK FILES DO YOU ACCEPT?
In an ideal world all the files we receive would be print ready vector files (Illustrator, EPS or PDF), however we know that isn’t the case. We accept all types of file and can open or work out how to open almost anything, if you are unsure if you have the correct file type just send it over and we will see what we can do. Worst case scenario we may need to have your artwork re-drawn, and in most cases this can be done free of charge, however charges may apply for more complex work. See our Artwork Guidelines(6) for more information.
WHAT SIZE SHOULD MY ARTWORK BE?
If you are providing Vector Files then your artwork can be set as any size as these can be scaled without a loss of detail. If providing any other format then please supply at the maximum resolution possible. For all files we will re-size to the correct print size during production. As a general rule we print artwork at 28cm for a standard large print and 9cm for a pocket size print. See our artwork guide for a more detailed look at print sizes.
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?
Production time will vary depending on the type of job and quantity however as a general rule we can have your job printed and delivered within 3-5 working days from payment and final approval. We also offer an express service for those last minute rush jobs.
DO YOU DELIVER?
Yes, delivery is free with most orders and 85% of locations are covered by a same day or next day service.
DO YOU PRINT SAMPLES?
Yes we can provide a printed tshirt sample for a charge. Samples are printed using the DTG method so may not be identical to the finished order, however they will give you an idea of print position, size and t-shirt quality. We can also provide a screen printed sample t-shirt of a previous job to give oyu an idea of our print quality – these can be provided free of charge. Blank samples are also available, please speak to one of our team.
DO YOU PROVIDE A GRAPHIC DESIGN SERVICE?
We can provide a basic design service and can re-draw simple logos and text artwork. For more complex work we charge an hourly rate of $50.
WHAT ARE YOUR CARE INSTRUCTIONS?
Each process and garment will have different care instructions, however as a general rule cool wash inside out and line dry for a long lasting print. Printed garments that are hot washed and tumble dried will crack and peel.
ARE YOUR GARMENTS FAIR TRADE?
We only work with suppliers who offer us complete transparency as to their supply chain so we can ensure all products are produced in safe factories that meet internationally accepted standards.
